Therefore all young people need to have the opportunity to learn about coding.

App Camps Story

It all began with an App Summer Camp. Twelve girls learned basic coding skills and developed own apps. Everyone was excited and we knew that this could not be the only coding camp for students.

We wanted to reach many more students. And also those students who do not participate in extra curricular activities. That’s how we came up with the idea of developing a platform for teachers in order to provide them with up-to-date and easy to use teaching material.

2014/15 lernten 100 Schülerinnen und Schüler aus Hamburg Apps zu entwickeln

2014/15 100 students from Hamburg learned to develop own apps.

2015/16 3,500 students from all over Germany learned to develop own apps.

2016/17 25,000 students from all over DACH learned to develop own apps.

Impact & Results

We want to share our passion for coding. Does it work? YES! Students and teachers are excited and want to learn more about coding and computer science. The course has a positive impact on boys and girls. Among girls we see an especially high increase in interest.
